Scholarship Programs Under DUEF
Though we call this a scholarship program, monetary awards are given to undergraduates for leadership performance as well. We believe grades are important, but we want to be sure we are building strong leaders within our fraternity.
The Delta Upsilon Educational Fund (DUEF) is a way for you to contribute to the leadership and scholarship programs of the local chapter and receive a tax deduction for your donation. The fund is routed through the international fraternity’s 501(c)(3) designation, which is designed specifically for local chapters to receive the full tax benefits of their contributions. The money you give, however, goes directly to the San Diego chapter, less 1% for administrative costs.
You may designate your contribution for a specific program or you may give it to the general fund, which will go toward an association scholarship designated by the scholarship committee.
To contribute, make your check out to DUEF and put a notation for SDSU on the check. Send it to the below address:
Delta Upsilon Alumni Corporation

If you are interested in donating to the Chapter Scholarship Program, contact brother Rick Galyen at galyen@cox.net.
Actives who are interested in applying for a scholarship can do so by completing the attached application and returning it to the scholarship committee.
The Alumni Internship/Job Placement Program
Finding a job is difficult these days, but as alumni, we can provide an advantage to our younger brothers with internship programs and career opportunities. It will be understood by every applicant that no job is guaranteed. The alumni can provide access to opportunities, but once the door is open, it is up to the individual to sell themselves in the interview. If you would like to offer an internship or job to a member of the active chapter, please contact us at info@ducktalk.org.
The DU Leadership Series
Each month, the alumni association gives a seminar, presentation or panel discussion to the chapter on various topics. We often invite alumni to give talks on topics such as preparing for an interview and resume writing. We also provide discussion panels to help the undergraduates understand how to lead and be successful.
If you would like to participate in these forums or discussions, please contact Vaughn Jeffrey on the programs committee at ctryroads@aol.com.
